The region that is now Robbins, North Carolina, was originally inhabited by Indigenous peoples, particularly the Keyauwee and other Siouan-speaking tribes that lived throughout the Carolina Piedmont. Moore County, formed in 1784, became home to settlers of Scots-Irish and English descent who were drawn to the area's fertile land and abundant natural resources.
